Brian Chan, D.M.D.
Dr. Chan is a gentle, caring dentist. He received his bachelors in Chemistry and graduated from the Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. Dr. Chan then received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry in Portland, OR.
He practiced dentistry in Oregon for a year before moving to Reno with his family. Upon arriving in Reno, Dr. Chan practiced in Reno and Carson City for four years as an associate dentist before deciding to purchase Cypress Dental.
Dr. Chan is excited to become part of the Reno community and looks forward to providing comprehensive, high quality dental care with a warm, caring touch. Dr. Chan is passionate about dentistry and is dedicated to continual learning and training through advanced education above and beyond the standard requirement. Outside of the practice, Dr. Chan enjoys basketball, running, and the outdoors with his family.

Haylee - Office Manager
After graduating from Milan Institute with her dental assisting certification Haylee worked at a pediatric dental office for 5 years prior to becoming part of the Cypress Dental Team. Haylee started out as a dental assistant for Dr. Chan prior to becoming the front office administrator and office manager.
Her role in the office includes being responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, resolving insurance claims, scheduling, and answer any questions. She really enjoys the interaction with patients; being able to help them with their concerns and having them be happy with the outcome.
Outside of the office, Haylee enjoys spending time with her husband Kyle and son Tanner. Their interests as a family include camping, watching sports, and taking their dog on walks around various areas of the Reno-Sparks area.

Veronica - Dental Hygienist
Veronica is a registered dental hygienist who attended local schools in Reno/Sparks which include Alice Maxwell Elementary and Sparks High School. She attended the University of Nevada-Reno and received her BS degree in material science engineering before obtaining her AS degree in dental hygiene from Truckee Meadows Community College in 2011.
Prior to dental hygiene school, Veronica was a certified dental assistant for the Smile Shop a Pediatric Dental office for 3 years where she gained a broad range of dental experience. Her dental experience includes all aspects of child and adult dental prophylaxis along with periodontal root planning and scaling techniques. Her goal is to provide thorough gentle dental cleanings with emphasis on prevention techniques and oral hygiene education.
Outside of dentistry, her interests include running, traveling, watching movies and enjoying the multiple activities the Reno-Tahoe area has to offer. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband Antonio, daughter Kaiya, and son Jaxon

Amber - Dental Hygienist
Amber is a registered Dental Hygienist and longtime Nevada resident. She attended Truckee Meadows Community College where she first received her general AS degree, before earning her AS degree in dental hygiene.
Prior to becoming a hygienist, her history consisted of 6 years of medical front office work for Orthopedics, general and vascular surgery, as well as 7 years of dental assisting in general dentistry. She has a wide range of experience, and prides herself on being gentle but thorough. Outside of work Amber enjoys sending time with her husband going to the movies, enjoying the occasional dinner out, and going to Disneyland.

Emily - Dental Hygienist
Emily is a registered dental hygienist and Reno, Nevada native. After graduating from McQueen High School, she attended the University of Nevada, Reno and received her BS in Community Health Sciences in 2014. She continued her education at Truckee Meadows Community College and received an AS degree in Dental Assisting in 2018 and an AS degree in Dental Hygiene in 2020.
Emily’s experience includes prophylaxis for both children and adults as well as periodontal scaling and root planing procedures. Her main goal is to provide the patient a very thorough cleaning while maintaining patient comfort. Through oral health education and prevention techniques, Emily hopes to improve the dental health of all of her patients.
Emily’s interests outside of dentistry include hiking, snowboarding, skiing, and all things Lake Tahoe. She enjoys spending time with her new puppy, Bubba, and showing him around the town. Her future goals include obtaining a Master’s degree and donating her time and services to local dental public health programs.

Liana - Dental Assistant
Liana is our lead Dental Assistant. She received her Dental Certifications in 2012 from South Lake Tahoe Community College and has practiced in various dental specialties such as Periodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Pediatrics, and General Dentistry. She is Currently attending TMCC with future plans in the Dental Hygiene Program.
She is empathetic towards her patients and enjoys making them laugh and smile while feeling comfortable in the office. Aside from dentistry Liana is passionate about music, snowboarding, travel, and any outdoor activity.
