Atty Smith, DDS - Reno/Tahoe's Family and Cosmetic Dentist

All our professionals at Cypress Dental maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry.


Atty Smith, D.D.S.

Dr. Smith is a gentle, caring female dentist. She received her bachelors in Biology and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Dr. Smith then received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

She practiced dentistry in Minnesota for a few years before moving to Reno with her husband, Rory and daughter, Kyndel. Upon arriving in Reno, Dr. Smith practiced in Incline Village before deciding to purchase Cypress Dental.

Dr. Smith is excited to become part of the Reno community and looks forward to providing comprehensive, high quality dental care with a warm, caring female touch.Dr. Smith is passionate about dentistry and is dedicated to continual learning and training through advanced education above and beyond the standard requirement.  Outside of the practice, Dr. Smith enjoys biking, golfing, kayaking and the outdoors with her family.

 

 

Sara - Patient Coordinator

Sara joined our team in March 2010. Friendly and highly motivated, she works to make your visit to the office enjoyable by making you feel welcome. Sara will assist you with ways to make our quality care affordable through comfortable financial arrangements.

Sara has lived in Nevada for most of her life. Her true love is her dog, Piston. He is an Alaskan Malamute mix. Sara, is a volunteer with Special Olympics, Relays for Life and is devoted to helping out needy families. Some of her hobbies include; sky diving, camping and fishing. Sara received a degree in Criminal Justice and is currently working towards a degree in Dental Hygiene. Sara, firmly believes that if you are determined enough, it is amazing what you can do in life.

 

 

 

Ashley - Patient Coordinator  

Ashley joined our team in June of 2011 and enjoys seeing the outstanding care and treatment Dr. Smith provides to all of herpatients. With her gentle, caring demeanor Ashley is able to put patients at ease and make their dental visits comfortable. She strives to make her guests at Cypress Dental feel welcome and secure with her warm smile and good hearted nature. 

Ashley relocated to Reno from her home town of Wooster OH.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching football, and being outdoors.  Ashley's heart belongs to her nephew Petey, who attends a school for children with Apraxia, and loves to teach his "Aunt A" sign language.  Ashley also has two dogs, Baxter and German Shepard mix and Tank a Chihuahua, who both are rescues.  


 


Veronica - Dental Hygienist

Veronica is a registered dental hygienist who attended local schools in Reno/Sparks which include Alice Maxwell Elementary and Sparks High School.  She attended the University of Nevada-Reno and received her BS degree in material science engineering before obtaining her AS degree in dental hygiene from Truckee Meadows Community College in 2011.

Prior to dental hygiene school, Veronica was a certified dental assistant for the Smile Shop a Pediatric Dental office for 3 years where she gained a broad range of dental experience.  Her dental experience includes all aspects of child and adult dental prophylaxis along with periodontal root planning and scaling techniques. Her goal is to provide thorough gentle dental cleanings with emphasis on prevention techniques and oral hygiene education.

Outside of dentistry, her interests include running, traveling, watching movies and enjoying the multiple activities the Reno-Tahoe area has to offer. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband Antonio, daughter Kaiya, and son Jaxon.
